Responsible for handling daily operation support for business information systems and are in charge of assisting Senior System Administrators with providing support for end users. Providing technical assistance (on site, remote, phone or email) for issues related to software & hardware will be key to this role. This involves completing support tasks for hardware devices and software packages, help with installation setups, and revise existing standard work documentation & knowledge bases. Other functions include providing training for end users across the business, answering technology questions as needed & completing administrative tasks where required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prompt response to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically

  • Support virtual & physical desktop environments across various operating systems (Windows, Linux).

  • Perform antivirus updates, patch installation, and conduct security self-reviews.

  • Train system users and maintain technical documentation.

  • Hardware & software asset management.

  • Create, change and delete user accounts and permissions as required.

  • Monitor the performance of servers, software and hardware.

  • Aid Senior Systems Administrators in the deployment of new IT solutions.

  • Work independently within assigned priorities and project schedules.

  • Desktop Support (Virtual & Physical)

  • Windows & Linux Support

  • Microsoft Office Support

  • License & Maintenance Management

  • Service Request & Incident Management

  • Atlassian Toolset Experience (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence)

  • End User Training

  • Microsoft Office Suite Expert

  • SharePoint Usage

  • System Compliance Audits & Reviews

  • System Patching & Updates

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

  • Unix & Solaris Exposure

  • Experience working in a fast-paced engineering environment

  • Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal & Written)
