Collins Aerospace is looking for an Experienced Financial Planning and Analysis professional to support our Kiddie Fire Protection business. Kidde Fire Protection is currently seeking an experienced Specialist to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team for the Kidde business headquartered in Wilson, NC. Kidde Fire Protection Systems is a global organization providing fully integrated fire protection systems for aircraft and ground vehicles in both the commercial and government markets. We are an organization of greater than 1,000 employees with additional operations sites in France and Germany.

Role Overview

This position is for an Experienced Financial Planning and Analysis professional who can execute financial analysis, research, budgets, and forecasts to support business plans. You will be responsible for developing analysis and projections and conducting projects of varying scope and size. We are seeking an individual who is adept at applying financial insight in performing projections and analysis in support of the overall goals of our business. The ideal candidate will be a persistent self-starter who is excited to support a cross-functional team through complex analyses. You will be a consummate communicator and provide insights that will enable senior management to make decisions on the direction of the Company.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Executes financial analysis, research, budgets, and forecasts to support business plans.

  • Reviews, analyzes and interprets financial and budgetary reports to develop observations and preliminary recommendations.

  • Develops P&L, balance sheet and cash flow analysis and projections.

  • Develops analysis on budgets, forecasts, inventory, and / or sales margins, including communication and presentation of variances to budgets and forecasts, clearly interpreting, articulating, and documenting key drivers.

  • Provides interpretation of financial data in spreadsheets, charts, and reports; uses these tools to communicate the “story” behind the financials in order to enable users and stakeholders to drive actions.

  • Audits financial practices to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations, laws and standards.

  • Conducts small to medium-scale projects, completing ad hoc analysis.

  • Performs economic research and studies of rates of return, depreciation and investments.

  • Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements and prepares reports on findings to make budgeting and cost recommendations to management.

  • Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance, operations, supply chain, programs, engineering and other areas of business for financial and strategic planning purposes.

  • Researches economic progressions to assist the organization's financial planning.

  • Creates and maintains financial models of "what if" scenarios to help future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development and new marketing strategies.

  • Provides support for pricing and sales.

  • Develops and maintains financial processes and systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR

  • Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (SUMIF, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, graphs/charts, etc.) and Power Point

  • SAP, Oracle, Hyperion/Essbase or other large ERP system experience

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing industry a plus

  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls compliance
