Collins Aerospace is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our tenured facilities team! The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of work to maintain machines, mechanical equipment, and the structure of our manufacturing facilities in good condition. Duties may involve machine repair, carpentry, painting, welding, plumbing, and sheet metal work. Ideal candidate will be someone that is able to problem solve and takes ownership of their responsibilities.
Performs skilled maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and other physical structures.
Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facility mechanical components and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.
Performs machine repair and general preventative maintenance on equipment in compliance with preventative maintenance programs.
Provides support in the development and implementation of facility and equipment upgrades.
Maintains all paperwork to document repair and preventative maintenance work completed.
Complies with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Wire equipment layouts or moves as directed using the most recent code and regulatory requirements.
Assist in design and build of Simple & Complex fixtures and various items per work order requests.
Ability to troubleshoot a various mix of control systems.
Assure compliance with company safety practices and procedures.
May perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Satisfactorily perform requirements per the “primary responsibilities”
5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment performing maintenance tasks
Proven ability to maintain multi and complex sites
Ability to read, interpret and perform duties from complex drawings, schematics, blueprints, and instructions to ensure compliance with all levels of regulatory requirements, codes, and company policies.
Working knowledge of mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; including carpentry, plumbing, pipe fitting, sheet metal fabrication, welding, electrical and mechanical trades.
Application of electronic and electrical theory and principles including testing abilities necessary to maintain the facility and equipment in maximum operating condition.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and resolve issues in a fast paced and team orientated environment.
Prefer individual who has completed a minimum of 2 years in specialized trade school
