This position provides manufacturing team leadership to one or more production lines within the department. Distributes and ensures flow of work is consistent with requirements. Supports company's lean process and works to improve processes and flow.
3rd Shift: 11pm-7am
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure tools and equipment are properly calibrated.
Ensure calibration, chemical and consumable dates are current.
Accurately read blueprints.
Perform preliminary review on non-conforming material.
Demonstrate proper use of hand and machine tools.
Demonstrate proper use of electrical/mechanical measuring devices.
Monitor for accuracy of processes and resulting costs.
Accurately read and follow procedures, routing and other work instructions.
Coordinate workflow and priorities through the production line.
Demonstrates above average abilities in performing Technical Tasks.
Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Comply with all rules and regulations of United Technologies, including, but not limited to: Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance and Human Resources.
Complete assigned tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills.
Check work methods and results for conformance to standards and re-instruct as required.
Report to supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.

Ensure all products produced meet quality standards.

Responsible for building parts that meet customer expectations.

Assist with cost reduction, scrap reduction, lean, and process improvement effectively utilizing ACE tools.
Coordination with engineers for prototype builds, testing, etc.
Assist supervisor and/or provide direction and leadership. Ensure work is accomplished with high quality, in a timely fashion and is compliant with the company’s standards.
Good time management skills and consistently meet deadlines.
Demonstrated leadership and teaming abilities and the ability to motivate employees on a daily basis.
Ensure all EH&S guidelines are communicated and followed.
Ensure all company policies are communicated and adhered to.
Ensure production goals and objectives are met.
Monitor area performance to goals.
Facilitate managerial directed work load and activities.
Identify operational problems as they arise and communicate issues in a timely fashion.
Measure employee performance and provide feedback to the employee and leadership team.
Responsible for new hire department level orientation.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
1-2 years’ experience in Operations.
2-3 years of manufacturing experience.
Ability to work instructions and follow assembly instruction.
Must be able to effectively work in an environment requiring repetitive job responsibilities.

Must be highly motivated and dedicated to exceed customer expectations.
Must have demonstrated above average performance in prior roles.
Must demonstrate high level of professionalism and set the example in regards to our Code of Ethics.
Coordinate work priorities with production lines.

Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs.
Frequent standing, sitting and stooping.
Occasional climbing, balancing, crouching and reaching.
Must be available for overtime, including extended workdays and weekends.
Comply with EH&S policies and procedures at all times, including wearing appropriate PPE. Attend EH&S trainings as required. Report unsafe practices and/or conditions to the appropriate individuals to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards. Recommend improvements to EH&S practices in order to create a safer workplace.
