The Product Lifecycle Analytics Engineer works on cutting edge electro-mechanical systems flying all around the world. Their contributions come from combining their knowledge of engineering products and their understanding of statistics to help build the first end-to-end digital thread for a suite of Collins Aerospace products.
The Analytics Engineer’s contributions also include connecting data from previously siloed sectors of the company and generating new insights to improve our products, services and business intelligence.
Learn fundamentals of electrical and mechanical systems
Provide data Analysis using Python to support business needs
Perform statistical analysis to quantify completeness and validity of a data source
Provide support for engineering root cause analysis investigations
Advocate for the use of semantic models and ontologies throughout the business
Development of executable Python models
Automate analyses and data formatting procedures
Clean and Analyze data using Pandas in Python
Data organization and standardized labeling in AWS S3
Implement machine learning algorithms on numerical and categorical datasets
Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations OR
In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Experience in Data Science or Statistics or Engineering
Experience with graph databases, sematic layers, and data ontologies
AWS or Azure or Spark Experience
Experience Git or similar software revision control best practices
