This position is for an experienced contracts professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in contracts administration and negotiation. Oversees multiple contract negotiations for the organization and guides less experienced individuals on contractual matters.

Primary Responsibilities:

Reviews moderately complex contractual rights and obligations for customers related to service contracts and product warranties to ensure that client requirements are met.

Drafts, generates, interprets, negotiates, and manages complex contract documents, in accordance with internal and external customer schedules and requests, to ensure these documents properly reflect the business’ objectives

Ensures productive relationships with customers throughout the negotiation process

Independently supports the proposal manager in coordinating input from other organizations during the sales campaign process

Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Assists in finalizing the preparation of bids, process specifications, progress reports and other reports related to service contracts and product warranties to ensure that established quality and customer satisfaction goals are achieved.

Directs analysis and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters

Coaches and guides junior professionals and reviews their work to ensure output is of quality and accordance with business objectives

Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to ensure contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications

Manages small-to medium-sized projects

Maintains historical legal records

Other duties as necessary for the department

Travel time required 15% customer dependent

Position will start remotely

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR

Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR

In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Contract management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP experience

MBA, Legal or related degree preferred

Prior experience working in the aerospace industry

Experience with FAR and DFAR regulations

Experience working with government contracts, writing proposals and negotiations

Experience with customer facing contracts and negotiations, and different type of agreements (NDAs, MOAs, License, Bailment, Partnering, Settlement, etc.)

Excel experience

Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Knowledge of finance and mathematics
