The Electronics Components Commodity Manager collaborates on strategic sourcing and commodity management activities to support overall sourcing and business objectives. The Manager works with key stakeholders such as Business Unit Cost Leads, Engineering, Quality, Special Process, Supplier Performance, Contracts, Compliance, Regional Offices and Suppliers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify and drive electronic component savings projects including alternate part identification, new technologies, new source identification and supplier transitions.

  • Key focal for alignment between engineering, value streams, and supply chain for ongoing and new electronic initiatives

  • Align stakeholders around business case and supply risk needs for each project

  • Execute strategic cost savings as part of the annual strategic sourcing review board

  • Develop and provide input to the electronics component strategy for annual strategic planning and ensuring project priorities are escalated.

  • Create and execute end product specific cost reduction projects based on customer requirements and needs

  • Closely support cost reduction and cost management process

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electronics industry or engineering education or experience including reading prints and datasheets

  • Experience using cost sensitivity to drive bottom line improvements

  • Process design and governance (standard work) experience

  • Experience as project integrator across multiple teams and business segments
