The Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op may be responsible for:
Development and management of one or more manufacturing processes
Development and implementation of automation projects
Process Control data collection and analysis
Suggesting process changes to improve process control and quality
Collection and analysis of Quality data
Collection and analysis of turnbacks
Learning ME tools (e.g. Solumina, SAP)
Creation of Rework Orders
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
Must have completed at least 30 credit hours of college coursework.
GPA of 3.0 or above is required.
Must be willing to work 40 hours per week
M ust be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” Holder
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Ability to work independently
Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to develop strategy
Teamwork & Collaboration
A culminating presentation will be required at the end of the session, reflecting on experiences and knowledge gained from the business.
90% of time will be spent on a shop floor (with loud machines, hot temperatures in summer months)
