This position is for an Established contracts professional. Performs analysis and generates complex proposals and contract documents. Makes improvements to functional processes to ensure the organization's compliance and effectiveness.
• Drafts, generates, interprets and manages complex proposals and contract documents, in accordance with internal and external requirements and schedules, to ensure these documents properly reflect business objectives.• Partners with contract managers in coordinating and analyzing input from other organizations during sales campaigns and negotiation processes.• Performs analysis and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters, including government procurement and cost control guidelines.• Advises and represents the organization on legal issues concerning contract matters.• Creates proposals, negotiates and executes contracts.• Provides legal advice on warranty and contract administration.• Prepares legal documentation for legal and contract negotiations and relationships.• Prepares legal applications for warranty and new contracts, as needed.• Maintains historical legal records.
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Experience with contract management or related
Experience working in the aerospace industry or directly for Collins Aerospace
MBA, Legal or related degree preferred
Experience with FAR and DFAR regulations
Experience working with government contracts, writing proposals and negotiations
Experience with customer facing contracts and negotiations, and different type of agreements (NDAs, MOAs, License, Bailment, Partnering, Settlement, etc.)
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Knowledge of finance and mathematics
