The Mechanical Engine Systems Operations Quality Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated individual to be the Senior Quality Engineer Lead for Manufacturing, Assembly and Test operations of the military value stream.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily Quality Engineering support for the MES military value stream.

  • Lead escape investigations to closure driving RRCA

  • Partner with hourly and salary associates in a team environment

  • Support the weekly Military IPT by provide updates and reports on current investigations, CRMs and ZDP

  • Interface with internal and external customers

  • Manage multiple, fast paced problems simultaneously

  • Provide Quality Clinic support, customer returned material transactions, MCAB, Investigate Escapes, FOD, standard work, PFMEA’s, 8D, mistake proofing, AS9100 Compliance and Zero Defect Plan

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

  • Must be a U.S. Person, including greencard hold

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in the aerospace industry

  • Proficient in computer applications, with a working knowledge of software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.

  • Knowledge of / experience in a Quality facing role

  • Experience in a multi-responsibility organization.

  • Strong analytical and statistical skills..

  • Quality certifications and experience with FAA and conformity processes is desirable.

  • Experience with advanced quality and PPAP tools/processes also desirable
