The Senior Global Asset Manager is part of the Power and Controls Spares Operation Organization managing the network of assets to support worldwide repairs within our premier service offering FlightSense. This Senior Manager is an experienced professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise who leads forecasting and optimization of the asset multi-echelon network and is responsible for making significant improvements of processes, systems, and products to enhance performance of work area and team. Works with internal and external team leaders to develop financial forecasts.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Leads in the development of strategies for asset management and SIOP.

• Spearheads the development of standardized processes within asset management and SIOP in order to optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for delivery.

• Leads in the development of indicators that enable visibility to short and long-term market trends and demand.

• Analyzes identified demand streams and leads in the establishment of data relationship linkages.

• Collaborates with product development leaders and sales and marketing team leaders to develop demand forecasts.

• Leads premier support for FlightSense customers in coordination with the program management and supply chain in this area.

• Leads in the planning of capacity and fulfillment demand with Aftermarket SIOP and Demand Management team.

• Responsible for asset management control ensuring stock levels are maintained at an appropriate level and meet site turnover targets.

• Analyzes and leads in the development of new technologies to improve asset management planning and SIOP capability, sustainability, and reliability.

• Spearheads tracking of appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement.

• Guides in establishing clear and robust metrics to measure progress through process improvements for SIOP.

• Creates and executes plan for every asset

• Facilitates the capacity management process with the Collins repair sites, including identification and escalation of long term capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of Asset Management and SI&OP.

• Executes continuous management of the master demand schedule, including adherence to all required validations using the best information available, in order to provide long range OE and aftermarket demand visibility in support of financial planning, internal and external capacity management, and the overall SI&OP process.

• Tracks and manages asset repair work in process (WIP) to ensure optimal utilization of units

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APICS CPIM certification

  • SIOP Certification

  • PMP certification.

  • Lean, Six Sigma or other relevant certification

  • Experience with SAP, Business Objects or comparable analytics software.

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, SIOP and/or forecasting.

  • Business analytics experience with demonstrated analytical skills specifically in demand forecasting utilizing MAPE, Bias and Forecast Error.

  • Expertise in driving demand leading indicators of forecast accuracy and bias to yield improved On Time Delivery and Inventory.

  • Experience presenting cross functionally and to senior level executives
