ISR & Space Systems Windsor Locks is looking for energetic and highly motivated candidates for its Finance Organization. This po sition includes the responsibilities (but are not limited to): assist in work breakdown structures, program scheduling, monitoring and analyzing program cost, coordinating and summarizing estimates at completion data, preparing cost and performance management reports for internal and external customers, coordinating manpower projection activity, preparing internal cost of sales/profit projections, measuring, analyzing and reporting performance against planned financial metrics, determining and monitoring program funding requirements, supporting customer and internal program reviews. This position’s responsibilities also include supporting effective project execution relative to cost performance, delivery performance and effective program resource planning. This position will need to ensure that their programs adhere to proper EVMS management practices, providing leadership and guidance to CIPT/IPT EVMS analysts, program managers and CAMs supporting the programs. As part of a team, there are opportunities for cross-training to gain exposure into other parts of the Space Systems financial planning and analysis and accounting organization. The ideal candidate has a strong desire to learn about all aspects of finance within a business unit, will have excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, and a high level of motivation. The position requires a good understanding of GAAP and excellent PC skills.

Business unit management: General Manager, program and contract managers, financial controls manager, accounting manager, marketing/ business development, engineering, operations.
Space Systems finance: interact regularly with other members of the Space Systems finance team.
CIPT leads, CAM’s and IPT
Central Finance, Government Finance, DCMA, DCAA, UTC Internal Audit.
Primary Responsibilities• Executes financial analysis, research, budgets, and forecasts to support business plans.• Reviews, analyzes and interprets financial and budgetary reports to develop observations and preliminary recommendations.• Develops P& L, balance sheet and cash flow analysis and projections.• Develops analysis on budgets, forecasts, inventory, and / or sales margins.• Provides interpretation of financial data in spreadsheets, charts, and reports.• Audits financial practices to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations, laws and standards.• Conducts small-scale projects, completing ad hoc analysis.• Performs economic research and studies of rates of return, depreciation and investments.• Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements and prepares reports on findings to make budgeting and cost recommendations to management.• Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance, operations, supply chain, programs, engineering and other areas of business for financial and strategic planning purposes.• Researches economic progressions to assist the organization's financial planning.• Creates financial models of "what if" scenarios to help future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development and new marketing strategies.• Provides support for pricing and sales.• Develops and maintains financial information systems.
QualificationsCandidates for this role should possess a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and three years of prior relevant experience
SAP/Tiger/Cobra/EVMS Reporting tool, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
Customer focus: Helping to provide business unit management with data that is useful for decision-making is a key to success in this position.
