The Senior Project Engineer – Digital Controls is an integral part of a team of professionals who get things done, enjoy working together and are committed to growing with this fast-moving company.
The Senior Project Engineer leads a cross functional engineering integrated product team to meet program objectives. The Senior Project Engineer will establish and execute program plans for the proposal, development, qualification and field support of electronic hardware and software products. The Senior Project Engineer will act as the focal point of the project to internal and external stakeholders.
Leads the integrated product team working on embedded controllers to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives
Represents Collins as the primary customer contact
Prepares and presents plans and reports relating to business aspects of the project to ensure established targets are met and communicates to management
Identifies and escalates project risks and supports resolutions to ensure timely mitigation and successful project completion
Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test
Coordinates the investigation into production and field product failure
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
Experience navigating competing priorities, delivering the highest level of engagement and delivering successful outcomes in dynamic situations
Experience leading projects and teams within a highly matrixed organization
