Requires an energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated person willing to lead, promote, and drive key processes as a member of UTC Aerospace Systems' Supplier Response Center.

This candidate will be responsible for ensuring rapid response to a high quantity of electronic requests from the UTAS Supply Chain while facilitating process discipline and continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate is expected to be a process expert with demonstrated experience to take an active role in driving responses to Supplier Requests for Information (SRI) and Quality Notifications (QN). The following topics are known weak points in the UTAS system/process and require focus to drive systemic solutions:

  • Material availability, cancelled/superseded specifications, allowance of alternate material

  • Suppliers taking exceptions or requesting alternate methods to UTAS QMS flow down

  • Use of unapproved sources for special process and/or non UTAS designed product

  • Customer approval of UTAS Engineering Changes

  • Efficient processing of Notification of Potential Quality Escapes

  • Supplier Managed Transitions leading to quality and delivery issues

The candidate will be required to interface across functional organizations, including suppliers, quality, procurement, operations, and engineering both electronically and over the phone. At times will be asked to lead or participate in events or drive targeted projects in critical areas. The ability to work well in a team environment is critical to the success of this role.

Basic Qualifications:• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.• Must be a U.S. CitizenNothing matters more to Collins Aerospace than our strong ethical and safety commitments.
