This position is for a Commodity Management professional within our Collins Supply Chain department supporting our Service and Support pillar at the Interiors Business Unit. The Commodity Manager will develop, oversee and implement global, regional and local commodity strategies for our Field Services commodity at Interiors Service and Support.

Field Services at Interiors Service and Support encompasses a supply base that is responsible for the installation, maintenance or repair of Collins hardware or equipment installed “in the field” (i.e. on the aircraft). These suppliers play an important role in the success of our aftermarket business and this position will manage the strategic relationship with these Field Services suppliers.Primary Responsibilities:• Sets negotiation terms for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies.• Executes Supply Chain strategies.• Establish sourcing goals and acceptable service levels.• Negotiates and administers contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.• Analyzes price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.• Evaluates vendors' capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness.• Identifies and conducts research on suppliers to ensure that the organization’s standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply are met.• Develops a strategic plan for a commodity or a strategic supplier.• Responsible for overall relationship with one or multiple strategic accounts across a given commodity.• Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature.• Ensures supplier or commodity is performing to the designed requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective.Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR

• Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR

• In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Supply chain sourcing experience preferred.

• SAP/ERP experience preferred.

• Experience with RFPs preferred.

• Lean/Process Improvement experience is preferred.

• Prior experience working with Field Support is preferred.
