Raytheon Technologies Systems Integration Engineer in Woburn, Massachusetts
How does Silicon Valley with expenses paid for a year or 2 or 3 sound?* (see below)
The Systems Integration & Test (SI&T) organization integrates all aspects of system validation, test, and analysis from initial system architecture, design and development, through system validation. SI&T has overall responsibility for the system integration and test process, test facility management and capital planning, as well as off-site system and flight test conduct, analysis and test problem resolution.
The SI&T's Systems Integration, Test and Evaluation Department (SITE) provides system engineering, integration and test expertise to the Radar and missile defense systems programs within IDS. Opportunities currently exist for Systems Engineers to support the Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) Business Area in Woburn, MA. SMD is an integrated business team at Raytheon’s IDS that focuses on Radar technology. SMD supports Missile Defense Agency programs, provides advanced missile defense technologies that enable systems to see farther and guide interceptors to their targets with even greater precision.
This engineer will support the advanced Radar technology; including hardware and software, for strategic and tactical Radars used as critical components in air and missile defense and situational awareness. You will support various engineering activities that include test and systems validation, modeling and simulation, requirements analysis, data analysis, flight test analysis and overall systems integration. You will work with team member of the Radar Verification and Validation (V&V) effort in the development and performance of a V&V plan which compares simulation performance against the requirements established by the customer. Expect to plan and perform V&V assignments which include collaborating with others in determining method of verification, generating test plans and verification procedures, developing analysis tools in Matlab to perform the verification, and documenting results in a V&V report. You will work independently with general guidance provided by the task Lead on general objectives and details of unusual situations and /or requirements. You must be able to travel as required to support program requirement
The THAAD System Integration Laboratory (SIL), located in the Lockheed-Martin Space Systems facility in Sunnyvale, CA provides the primary venue for testing THAAD software in support of new software releases and key program events such as flight tests. Raytheon has directly supported the SIL for the last 16 years and is in need of an experienced system integration engineer. The SIL is a critical step in getting formal approval to field a weapon system build.
