Collins Aerospace Systems, a Raytheon Technologies business, is on the lookout for an Indirect Commodity Manager to join the team in Wolverhampton.

You will join a friendly and collaborative team of 4, which consist of a Lead Buyer and 3 Category Managers. This role reports to the Head of Indirect Procurement and we’re looking for someone who will be a real business partner to the organisation and can engage with a plethora of stakeholders.

In your new position, you will develop and deliver commodity strategies whilst taking o wnership of the logistics spend and to increase the profitability of the site by procuring materials and services at the most competitive cost.

Your Responsibilities

  • Business Partnering/Stakeholder management- Ensure continuity of supply with defined quality standards

  • Managing Spend Area/Category Strategy Development- Engage with Actuation sites across the UK, France & Italy in understanding and implementing the commodity strategies and drive synergies across Europe

  • Supplier management - Ensure we proactively manage supplier performance to meet the business needs according to the market complexity and opportunities

  • Continuous improvement- Identify and drive value creation opportunities from market intelligence and supply base, managing performance against target and implementation timelines

    Experience and Skills

  • Commodity experience- indirect would be advantageous but not essential

  • Experience in working for a large corporate organisation and matrix environment

  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels in the organisation, with excellent communication skills

  • Experience in identifying commercial opportunities, implications and risks

  • Working knowledge of contract law

  • Project management skills and the capability to drive projects through to their conclusion

  • Drive and ability to work independently

  • Certified by MCIPS (preferred but not essential) – if not already certified, the business can support you with this

  • Fluency in Microsoft Office or similar spreadsheet, presentation and word processing applications

  • Travel Required: 10 - 20% across predominately France, Italy, UK
